H.M.S. 'Camilla': 1858 (8 Nov.) envelope addressed to Albert Markham, HMS Camilla, China, marked "paid 30c.", with "12" rate mark in red ink and London Paid transit (3.12); the reverse with New York Am Pkt (20.11) transit. The 30c. rate was for transport by French Mail, however, this letter was sent by British mail and should have been charged 33c.; the 12c. is the standard credit to the British Post Office. Clean and fine


1858年11月8日由美國Galesville 寄駐泊中國廣州的英國戰艦 "Camilla"上 的Albert Markham. 封面寫有 "Paid 30c", 及紅色手寫大字"12" 郵遞費, 3月12日倫敦郵資已付中轉戳; 封背蓋11月20日紐約中轉戳. 品相中上.
