1860 (13 Mar) entire letter from Kingston to Bordeaux, bearing 1d. rose-red and 4d. rose-carmine wing-margin pair each neatly cancelled "A01" alongside "kingston/jamaica" K8 datestamp, showing London Paid datestamp (28.8), circular-framed "pd" and Calais entry datestamp (28.4), all on face, Paris (29.4) and Bordeaux (30.4) datestamps on reverse. A rare and highly attractive franking with this destination not recorded by Foster. Two covers to France recorded in the BWISC Encyclopaedia, this being a third. Photo
