1876 (18 Feb.) envelope from Fauresmith to Gotha, bearing Orange Free State 6d. with wing-margin and indistinct cancel, in combination with Cape of Good Hope 1d. pair, 4d. and 1/- cancelled by slightly heavy "1" obliterator, showing Bethanie and Cape Town (2.3) c.d.s., red crayon "1/0½", framed "te laat" (Too Late) and "ten onregate" (Against Regulations - the only known example on cover), London Paid transit c.d.s. (30.3) and, on reverse, despatch and arrival datestamps; envelope with most of bottom flap missing. A very rare and most attractive combination franking. Photo
