1860 (Feb.) envelope "From No 85 John N Taylor band 2/13" Light Infantry at British Kaffraria to England, countersigned by the Commanding Officer, bearing 1855-63 1d. rose-red with margins nearly all round (defect at top) and neatly cancelled, showing London Paid c.d.s. in red on face and, on reverse, faint King William´s Town oval d.s., Cape Town and Crediton arrival c.d.s.; the envelope with vertical crease well clear of the adhesive.
