1892 (12 Jan.) envelope to Libreville, Gabon, bearing France Peace and Commerce 25c. cancelled with a fine strike of the "loango a marseilles/l.m. no 3" octagonal d.s. (Salles 1254) in red with a further strike at left, redirected to Marseilles though sent in a vessel going in the wrong direction and showing a good strike of the "missent/to cape town" h.s. (Type SP 2) partially over-cancelled with Le Havre c.d.s. (26.5), the reverse with Las Palmas (12.1), Funchal (17.2) and part Marseilles (28.5) datestamps. A rare and most unusual item. Photo
