1881 (11 Nov.) envelope ex the Landfear correspondence from New Haven, Conn., to Wellington, bearing 15c. orange with mute cancellation and despatch c.d.s. alongside and New York "50" transit duplex in red at lower left; upon arrival redirected to Kalk Bay with 3d. claret (defective) partially affixed over the 15c. and cancelled by barred oval "34" with c.d.s. alongside, various transit datestamps on reverse.
