1856 (30 Sept.) envelope from Grahamstown to Edinburgh, bearing 1855 4d. pair (one cut nto at foot) clearly tied by triangular obiterator, showing handstruck "8d" and, on reverse, despatch, Cape Town (4.10), Plymouth Ship Letter (14.12) and arrival (16.12) datestamps; the pair crossed by horizontal crease.
