1896 (26 Oct.) envelope from Palachwe to Assam, bearing 1891 1d. vertical pair tied by violet crayon cross and 1895 2d. pair tied by "676" barred numeral with "palachwe/khamas town" c.d.s., showing violet crayon "T", hexagonal-framed "T/5c" (applied at Cape Town), framed "foreign postage due/annas" with manuscript "one" inserted and, on reverse, Mafeking (31.10), Durban, Colombo (9.12) and arrival (15.12) datestamps. A fine ½d. underpaid franking to a rare and most unusual destination. Photo
