1890 (31 Dec.) envelope to Kent, bearing 1888 2d. lilac and black vertical strip of three placed sideways and tied by "638" barred numeral, showing "mafeking/bechuanaland" c.d.s. below with Cape Town transit datestamp (4.1.91) on reverse; the top and bottom stamps of the strip with a damaged corner, nevertheless a neat and attractive franking.
