1938 (14 Oct.) envelope from Gwanda "By Runner" (deleted), replaced with typed "By Cyclist", to Tuli, bearing 1d. with double-ring datestamp and with arrival datestamp (22.10) on face with a further strike on reverse. Scarce

Note: Even at this time mails were still carried by cyclists and runners in all three territories. This cover was carried by cyclist messenger, on rail from to the Police Post at Tuli, taking two days. The cover had to wait until the Police Officer returned from an urgent patrol before it received a datestamp of receipt. See RSCJ 159, December 1991
