1877-96 selection to Natal, comprising 1877 entire to Pietermaritzburg with 6d. grey, 1883 (faults) and 1884 envelopes to Umhlanga and Pietermaritzburg each bearing 6d. on 3d., 1884 and 1886 envelopes to Pietermaritzburg and Durban both bearing 6d. green and 1896 envelope to Ladysmith franked at 2½d., the 1884 items both addressed to Sir Theophilus Shepstone, KCMG, responsible for the annexation of the Transvaal.
