Charles I (1625-1649), Briot's First Milled Coinage, 1631-1632, crowned bust left, value behind, truncation breaks inner circle, rev. long cross fourchée over square-topped shield, lozenge stops, edge plain, 5.95g, 6h, m.m. B and flower / B (Brooker 716 same dies; North 2300; Spink 2854), linear adjustment to portrait otherwise a highly commendable example, handsomely cabinet toned overlying lustrous and quite brilliant fields, strictly good very fine, but truly much as issued, very rare and desirable thus
