Arthur George Goddard was born on 25 June 1902 at Bulawayo, Rhodesia. He worked as a fitter prior to enlistment with the South African Air Force on 13 January 1941. Posted to North Africa and served in the African and Italian Campaigns before being promoted Flight Sergeant on 1 April 1944. Finally demobilised on 18 January 1946; sold together with copied research including service records.
