1897 (30 Jan.) a fine envelope to Ireland bearing 1c. red tied by a fair strike of the Local Post c.d.s. in blue with France "Chine" 25c. tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. and, on the reverse, a superb strike of the despatch c.d.s., Shanghai Local Post (1.2) and Kingstown arrival (7.3). A fine and important cover used just before the closure of the Local Post system on 2nd February. Signed by Peter Holcombe
