1876-78 envelopes (8) and a front mostly to Cape Town and franked as single (8), double or treble rate items with 6d. grey, one redirected back to England with manuscript "4d" and one (a little truncated) to the Assistant Adjutant General of Colonial Forces and redirected to King William's Town with manuscript "2", and 1890 (Oct.) envelope from Chingford to the Post Office at Pietermaritzburg carried on the Garth Castle via Lisbon, Madeira and Johannesburg, evidently unclaimed and with "gepubliceerd" handstamp on face and with faint "onafgehaalde/pretoria" datestamp on reverse, see article included
