1874 (Aug.) envelopes (2) ex the Henry Connor correspondence to Ireland (Connor recently having been appointed Chief Justice of Natal), the first from Pietermaritzburg carried on the Union vessel Florence from Durban to Cape Town and the Celt from Cape Town to Plymouth, the second from Durban carried on the Basuto from Durban to Cape Town and the Syria from Cape Town to Plymouth, both bearing 1/- purple-brown with numeral "1" and "2" obliterators respectively and with large recipients notes across face; 1881 envelope to Ireland carried on the Taymouth Castle; and 1882-83 envelopes to England (3) carried on the Asiatic/Spartan, Danube/Trojan and Dunked/Dunrobin Castle, all bearing 6d. lilac
