1865 (3 Nov.) blue envelope (central vertical crease) from Pietermaritzburg to Bristol carried by the Mauritius to Cape Town and by the Cambrian on her eighth homeward passage, bearing 6d. lilac pair with light numeral cancellations and showing despatch and Paid Devonport Cape packet datestamp alongside; 1867 (Mar.) blue envelope from Pietermaritzburg to Somerset carried by the Natal to Cape Town and by the Norseman on her fourth homeward voyage, bearing 6d. lilac pair cancelled "1" and with despatch datestamp at centre; and 1867 (9 Apr.) pale green envelope (faults) from Pietermaritzburg to Scotland carried on the Saxon to Cape Town and the on her third homeward passage, bearing 1/- green cancelled "1" and with despatch and London datestamps on face
