1854 (13 May) mourning envelope "per mail steamer" to Cape Town after the collapse of the GSSSCo's second packet contract, rated "8" though with no Cape charges marked; 1857 (Oct.) envelope (opened-out) from Richmond, Cape to Cardiff showing various Cape datestamps on reverse and sent after the collapse of the Lindsay packet contract; and 1857 (Sept.) entire from Gravenhage to Cape Town, carried via London and probably carried by the private steamer Mystery, with despatch datestamp on face, after the commencement of the Union Steam Ship Co. packet contract
