1853 (23 Nov.) entire letter written in Spanish from St. Helena to Cadiz, picked up by the Bosphorus on its second return sailing from India under the second mail contract which had sailed from Cape Town on 21 November and which arrived in Plymouth on 2 January 1854 and sent care of Dunbar & Sons in London for forwarding to Spain, rated "1/3" and showing three U.K. datestamps, oval-framed "p f", French entry datestamp and Spanish "10.r" rate handstamp; fine and scarce.
