1851 (Jan.) entire from London to Cape Town, returned to sender for payment of 1/- and showing two different "Returned for Postage" handstamps, one on reverse; 1851 (July) entire letter (imperfections) from London to Mauritius, redirected "Gone to Cape", sent to Cape Town and returned from there to London, Mauritius, Cape Town and London marks all on face; 1851 (Dec.) double rate entire letter and single rate envelope both carried on the fourth voyage of the Bosphorus; and 1852 (May) envelope from London "Per RMS Propontis (5th. voyage) to Cape Town rated "1/-" for U.K. posting and "4d" on delivery at Cape Town
