Note: This error was listed in the Stanley Gibbons catalogue in 1899. Nine examples are known, six with faults, and there is a pair in the Royal collection. Three examples have not been seen since the 1950s. This error is extensively detailed in the "Stamps of Victoria" by Geoff Kellow, page 169.
