Note: This error was first recorded in the "Stanley Gibbons Monthly Journal" in February 1897 and listed by Stanley Gibbons in 1917. It is rare, and often confused with the same error from the Second Roulette issue of 1860. Three used examples are recorded in private hands, with two additional examples in the Royal Collection.
