Note: This error was known to collectors in the 1920s with a strip of three in a mint block of eighteen in the Vickery collection in the Powerhouse Museum in New South Wales. The first publication of this error was with the sale of a strip of four in a mint block of sixteen in the Slade Slade sale in 1979. All the examples of this error appear to have originated from the same sheet, and now comprise this block of eight, the Slade Slade block of sixteen and the strip in the Vickery collection.
