1895 (11 Jan.) secretarial letter on paper headed "From the Laboratory of Thomas A. Edison", stamped "phonograph dictation" to Thomas E. Francis reading "... I beg to state that the attached clipping is not correct", with secretarial signature "Thos. A. Edison. Included with original cover and aforementioned clipping wich states that "It is said that Mr. Thomas A. Edison is engaged in a new invention ... It is to render communication between opposite ends of the earth possible without telegraph, telephone or any of the many appliances known to modern society, or even a wire". Interesting.
