Thurn and Taxis
1588 - 1787 a group of seven entires carried by the postal network run by the Thurn and Taxis post office.
1588 EL from Meiningen to Frankfurt am Main carried by foot messenger; 1616 EL from Malines to Stuttgart endorsed "1 port"; two EL rated "v8" (8 stuivers) in manuscript sent from Mons to Antwerp and Tournai to Antwerp; three EL from Antwerp to addresses in Flanders rated 2 (stuivers) to be paid by the recipient. Posted 1747, 1761 and 1787 during the period that the Netherlands was under Spanish and Austrian occupation and the postal system was run by Thurn and Taxis from their headquarters at Brussels.
