1892 (1 April) military appointment of "James Henville Thresher" to the rank of "2nd Lieutenant". Signed "Victoria R" to top, particularly obscured by light blue wafer, and "H. Campbell-Bannerman" as Secretary of State for War at bottom right. Document separating slightly at folds and with trivial staining, otherwise in good condition.
