1710 (March) ALS "Letter to Capt. Bruce" writing "I am informed that Lieut. Cunningham and other officers that were taken to make a pretence of Exile are not making their recruits. But I hereby order you to tell them that in case they fail in making their Complement ... I shall proceed against them In a Court Martiall And that they need not Expect favour at my hands", ordering therefore that they raise the troops by the 15th of the month. Small part of document missing and with repairs, signed "Lauder" and with integral address panel noting "To the care of the post master of (?) North Britain". Interesting.
