1708 military appointment document on vellum appointing Simon Parry as captain of the Portuguese foot regiment under the command of Colonel Constantine De Magby. Signed "Anne" and countersigned by Charles Spencer, 3rd Earl of Sunderland and James Taylor, Secretary at War. Document lacking wafer seal but bearing usual revenue stamps, vellum a little foxed and heavily folded.
