Princess Louise Maximilenne Caroline Emmanuel, Countess D'Albany
Undated other than "This Monday 16th" autograph letter in French to "Madame The Countess Ciccogniari" writing in response to Ciccogniari's letter "on the life of La Fontaine. He is one of the most original authors who lives in any language, and whatever he looks at interests him immensely but what interests me more is the health of your dear husband. I am concerned that he has fallen ill again as he did not favour me either Saturday or yesterday morning". Unsigned although with integral address panel endorsed "C. D'albany".

1772 (28 March) Louise was married by proxy to Charles Edward - King Louis XV had hoped to continue to the legitimate Stuart line. By 1774 the couple moved to Florence where they adopted the title 'Count and Countess of Albany'. Louise later met Count Vittori Alfieri and they became lovers.
