Victory Medal 1914-19 (1622 Rfmn. Bagh Ali, 123 Otrm Rfls.), very good fine

Bagh Ali served with the 1st Battalion, 123rd Outram's Rifles but was attached in the early months of the war to serve with the 24th Punjabis. It is with them that he was killed 18 December 1915, likely during the disastrous Siege of Kut al Amara in which that regiment participated.

He is remembered on the Basra War Memorial under the name Bagga Khan.
