Victory Medal 1914-19 (3131 Spr. Allah Ditta, 1 S&M.), very fine

Allah Ditta served with the 1st (King George's Own) Bengal Sappers and Miners during the First World War. During this conflict the regiment was engaged in heavy fighting on the Western Front, Mesopotamia and in Palestine. They also took part in the 1919 Third Anglo-Afghan War. Allah Ditta died 2 June 1919 and is commemorated upon the Basra Memorial; sold with copied research.
