A watercolour by Reginald Augustus Wymer (1849-1935)

The watercolour, heightened with white, mounted and glazed within a narrow wooden frame 532mm x 400mm; dimensions within mount 356mm x 229mm.

The watercolour depicts a mounted private of the 2nd (Royal North British) Dragoons c.1817 from the near-side in the uniform of the period 1811/12-17 and with the bearskin cap worn 1816-17, with the 'Waterloo' scroll placed above the cap plate. Signed R Wymer, good condition with slight foxing
