An Unpublished Personal Archive of Material and Correspondence related to Sir Wally Herbert

Comprising:

(i)
Letters (of interest, involvement and congratulations), printed emails, dinner menus, photographs, newspaper cuttings related to the Testimonial organised for Sir Wally Herbert in 2006 at the Royal Geographical Society, with Hadow as Chairman of the Organising Committee. Together with letter from Brigadier Sir Miles Hunt-Davies, Private Secretary to The Duke of Edinburgh who was unable to attend or be Royal Patron.

(ii)
Original copy of the manuscript of The Polar World by Sir Wally, sent to Pen Hadow on 1 September 2006, together with forwarding letter.

(iii)
Small presentation photograph album of images from the Testimonial Committee to Pen Hadow, '...wishing you many happy memories of a very special Gala evening for Sir Wally Herbert.'(iv)
Together with further newspaper cuttings, related paperwork, letterhead, programmes from the evening and related to the Testimonial, a most interesting and unpublished archive
