Nathan Norman Soper was born in October 1986 and served in the Royal Logistic Corps in Iraq before joining the Royal Marines in February 2007. Drafted to 42 Commando, he gained specialist training in signals and served in Afghanistan during Operation HERRICK 9, including time attached to the Medical Emergency Response Team. Completing the Landing Craft course in December 2009, he joined 6 Assault Squadron which went to America and in home waters, besides assisting Commander Land Forces. Soper also worked with the recovery of Military and Civilians from Santander after a volcanic ash incident. He was discharged on 22 April 2011; sold together with photograph of the recipient, besides copied Testimonial and Certificate of Discharge.
