Richard Paul Jones enlisted in the Territorial Army on 26 June 2001. A member of the West Midlands Regiment, who only existed between 1999-2007, he was called out of the Reserve to serve in Afghanistan from June 2003-January 2004 and Iraq from September 2005-August 2006. He later joined the Permanent Staff of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was discharged on 3 April 2012; sold together with named boxes of issue for OSM, ACSM and VRSM, besides RMAS 'Falling Plates Match Winners' medal, RMAS cloth badge cut from a piece of clothing, copied Certificate of Service, two mobilisation certificates and two photographs from his time in service.
