David Thomas Martin was born on 30 August 1981 at Dunoun, Argyll & Bute and was a replenishment officer upon his enlistment in May 1999. He served on Operation Agricola in Kosovo with the Commndo Logistics Regiment. Martin joined 45 Commando on 20 April 2002, soonafter serving in Afghanistan during Operation Jacana, April-July 2002. He was released in January 2007 and ran the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest event for Cash for Commandos in 2012; sold together with his waxed cloth Certificate of Service, copied Certificate of Discharge, Staff Report, besides photographs of his service and copied research, all housed within green Royal Marines folder.
