Efficiency Medal, G.VI.R., India (Tpr. R. Brown, Chota Nag. R. A.F.I.), very fine

Robert Henry Brown was born on 2 August 1904 at Bombay, son of Robert Harry, an Armoury Sergeant at the School of Musketry. Working in the metal smelting trade, he was awarded the Medal serving with the Chota Nagpur Regiment in I.A.O. 37/AP of 19 September 1944. Having remarried after his first wife died in 1946, Brown returned to England on the Stratheden in September 1960, by this time listed as an Engineer; sold together with silver Chota Nagpur 'Nobel Cup' winners medal, copied verification and research.
