Ronald Walker Dobson was born on 13 January 1911 and entered the British Army in January 1932. He was taken Prisoner of War at the fall of Singapore on 15 February 1942 and was held at the following camps:
Changi, 17 February 1942-25 April 1943.
Sunkeri (Thailand), 20 May-29 August 1943.
Tanbaya (Burma), 25 September-21 November 1943.
Kamburi (Thailand), 25 November 1943-25 April 1944.
Seralang, 28 April-28 May 1944.
Liberated from his captors at the end of the War, he served in Cyprus and was released from the Reserve on 13 January 1966, living in Workington, Cumberland; sold with copied POW card and release questionnaire.
