Arthur Crudgington served with the 5th Lancers in France from 21 December 1915. He subsequently served with the Machine Gun Corps (Cavalry) as a Lance-Corporal; sold with copied MIC and enlistment papers.
John Arthur Crudgington, the son of Arthur, served as a Sergeant Navigator (No.1318163) in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. He was killed on 18 September 1943, when Halifax BB245 crashed near Pontefract. He is buried in the Beckenham Crematorium and Cemetery.
