Thomas George Lawless enlisted in the 13th Hussars aged 14 in March 1901 and was with the Regiment until 1922. Having served in India, he further served with his unit in France from 15 December 1914. Sold together with a fine archive of original material comprising:

An Acme Model "Solbron" trumpet by Boosey & Co, London, numbered '113070', and attractively engraved 'Presented to Sgt. T. G. Lawless. By the Officers, Sgts and Members of Band XIIIth Hussars on his leaving the Regt. March 1922.'

13th Hussars silver medal, reverse engraved '1920. Sergts. Mess Highest aggregation of the Rifle Meeting. Winner. Sgt. T. G. Lawless.'

13th Hussars silver medal, reverse engraved 'Segts. Mess Shooting Challenge Cup. 1920, Winner. Sgt. T. G. Lawless.'
