(x) China 1900, no clasp (3620 Sapr. A. Woolacott. R.E.), minor edge nicks and bruise, bent suspension, otherwise very fine

A. Woolacott served with the 4th Balloon Section of the Royal Engineers and was among a small number of engineers, mainly from the 1/44th Battalion, who travelled from Hong Kong to China and were awarded the Medal without clasp (WO 100/95, refers).
