British Post Office: 1894 (16 Nov.) opened-out envelope to San Francisco bearing first issue 1c. blue tied by a fine strike of the 29mm "chinkiang/postal service" c.d.s. with Hong Kong 10c. purple on red tied by British Post Office Shanghai (19.11) c.d.s. and, on the reverse, further despatch c.d.s., faint Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (17.11), Yokohama (29.11), San Francisco and Tacoma (17.12) after being redirected. The envelope with repaired corner, otherwise fine.
