1895 (Oct.) opened-out envelope to Nebraska bearing 1892-94 5c. Grant tied by "u.s.postal agency/shanghai" duplex (23.10) with a good strike of unframed "u.s.charge/to collect 10 cents" in black with a large manuscript "T" in black ink and, on the reverse, a fair to good strike of the large garter Nanking Agency postmark in grey-blue. a faint strike of Shanghai Local Post (20.10), San Francisco (2.11) over the Nanking postmark and Cucton arrival (25.11). Some light soiling and reinforced edges. A late cover from the Nanking Agency and unusual underpaid mail. Photo
