1895 (8 Apr.) Hong Kong 4c. on 3c. top half of a reply card, addressed to Vienna "Via Hamburg", cancelled by British Post Office Hankow type Gii c.d.s., British P.O. Shanghai (12.4), Hong Kong (16.4), French Ligne N (17.4), Aden transit; readdressed to Colombia "via New York" with Austria 5k. stamp added and tied by Vienna (17.5) c.d.s. At Colombia a pair of 5c. stamps have been added and tied by Cucuta oval and sent on to Hankow "via New York, San Francisco" with New York (17.7) and San Francisco (22.7) and in China receiving U.S. Post Office Shanghai c.d.s. (15.8), a very fine strike of Hankow Local Post c.d.s. (19.8) in blue (both on the reverse) and a good strike of the dated oval "consulate of the united states/hankow" (19.8). A delightful and appealing card which spent 130 days in transit. Photo

This is the ealiest date recorded for the Hankow type Gii c.d.s. with the flat "O"
