(11.10); also 1871 (29 Dec.) part wrapper to Loans & Co "Via Brindisi" bearing G.B. 1867-80 3d. plate 7 with 1/- green plate 5 tied by London "71" duplex of Catford with a part strike of the Hong Kong transit c.d.s. (11.2) in the flap.
During this time, the Franco-Prussian War meant that all mails on this route were sent via Brindisi. Photo
