The Bisects
1860 (28 Nov.) entire letter from Penang to Singapore, bearing 1855 8a. carmine on blue glazed paper bisected diagonally, clearly tied by "B/147" obliterator and showing red crayon "4" and "penang/p.o." double-ring datestamp in red alongside; some creasing and small tears. The unique blued paper 8a. bisect, one of only two 8a. bisect covers and one of two covers from Penang recorded. A highly important gem of Straits Settlements philately. B.P.A. Certificate (1965).
