Great Britain: City Bank, London, £20 shares, 18[66], #425, scrollwork left, black. Together with City Bank Limited, £40 shares, 18[87], #5163, similar design. Incorporated by Royal Charter in 1855, became Limited in the 1880's and acquired by London & Midland Bank in 1898 to become London City and Midland Bank. The first with some edge damage and somewhat toned, the second VF (2).
