1864 (18 June) envelope from Dunedin to Edinburgh, bearing 6d. red-brown neatly cancelled by "otago" duplex and with arrival datestamp (20.8) on reverse. An exceptionally early date of use of this stamp with Bob Odenweller stating that the stamp appeared in June "although Goodfellow had not seen any before January 1865". Signed Holcombe. Photo
