Trial Separations
The following group of separations were all applied by hand to imperforate sheets. Naturally the results were often poorly cut and badly aligned. Examples with the design intact are rarely encountered and are worth a considerable premium
Pin-Roulette 10 at Nelson
1d. dull orange showing excellent roulettes on three sides, clearly cancelled "15" at Nelson, very well-centred for this stamp; trace of vertical creasing at centre, otherwise a fine example of this rare stamp. R.P.S.N.Z. Certificate (1973). S.G. 18, £5,500. Photo
