1894 (8 Aug.) Shanghai "postage paid 1 cent" stationery envelope used commercially to Shanghai bearing a good strike of the circular "chinkiang/postal service" handstamp and, on the reverse, a superb strike of the large Chinkiang datestamp in black with Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (9.8) in blue and pencil delivery characters. Clean and fine. Very late us of the Shanghai stationery as the Chinkiang postage stamps were now available, some allowance must have been given for the use of Shanghai payment. Photo


1894年8月8日鎮江寄上海"上海工部一分己付郵資封", 銷清晰黑色鎮江中英文無日期戳, 封背蓋黑色完整及清晰鎮江中英文大圓日戳, 旁有藍色8月9日上海工部到達日戳, 另有有郵差手寫記錄; 由於鎮江書信館發行的郵票已於兩天前開始, 故此本封相信是上海工部郵資已付封在鎮江使用的最晚記錄.
